Wintell & Unix Engineer (M/X/V) (2025-4237)

Function

As a Wintell & Unix Engineer (M/X/V) you will be responsible for the management of our hosting platforms in both our datacentre and the public cloud within the Microsoft technology stack. In addition, you collaborate on multiple IT projects within your area of expertise and provide operational support on complex matters. Moreover, you are capable of working autonomously, self-steering in an agile environment based on the backlog and the defined priorities aligned with the overall ICT strategy.

Profile

• You have a solid experience in server system administration on the Azure Cloud and VMware based virtualisation platforms. Affiliated infrastructure technologies in terms of compute, storage & networks holds no secrets for you. You have worked with Enterprise grade Microsoft Windows based environments.
• You are passionate about deploying and operating hosting platforms and understand the inner workings of infrastructure and application monitoring systems, backup technologies and automated patching mechanisms.
• You are experienced in Microsoft SQL DBA services in both on-premises and in the Microsoft Azure cloud environments IaaS and cloud native.
• It is key for you to have a profound understanding of computer networks, CCNA certification is an asset. You are accustomed to work in an environment that is organised in accordance with the ITIL practices. Knowledge of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS or HP-UX (Unix) is a plus.
• You are passionate about Infrastructure automation (IaaC) and understand it’s importance in quick to market strategy. Experience with Terraform is a plus.
• You hold a sense of urgency to tackle operational issues that are impacting our business operations. You are service minded and helping others fuels your energy levels.
• You collaborate with the security team to mitigate information security risks and enforce infrastructure hardening to secure the IT infrastructure landscape. In this regards you have a good understanding what vulnerability management implies for a system engineer.
• You develop and maintain our infrastructure level documentation and collaborate to improve the technical guidelines.
• You make strive for continuous improvement and remain up to date on technological evolutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell or any other modern scripting language is highly desirable

Diploma: Bachelor Applied Informatics
Experience: 3-5 years as a system engineer in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Languages: You speak Dutch or French and you are profound in English
